Bookly Advanced Google Calendar is an official extension designed to complement the Bookly PRO booking system on WordPress, taking Google Calendar synchronization to a whole new level. It is intended for businesses that rely on precise appointments and coordinated schedules: medical centers, academies, consultancies, personal trainers, service agencies, and any professional who manages bookings both from their website and from their Google Calendar.

While Bookly PRO by default offers one-way or two-way synchronization modes limited to the front-end, this add-on enables full two-way synchronization between the Bookly calendar and Google Calendar. This means that every booking created through Bookly is automatically reflected in Google Calendar, and any new event, modification, or cancellation made directly in Google Calendar is instantly synced to Bookly. The result is an always-up-to-date schedule, no matter which platform you manage it from.

Among its most notable features is the ability to customize the title and description template for events in Google Calendar using codes like {service_name}, {category_name}, {staff_name}, and {client_names}, allowing each appointment to appear with the exact information the business needs. It also lets you configure how much appointment history you want to sync, giving you total control over the volume of shared data.

The extension supports connecting specific Google Calendars for each team member, so each professional can have their appointments synced with their own personal calendar. Additionally, it includes incremental manual sync, which allows you to start a new sync with a single click from the Google Calendar button at the top of the Bookly calendar.

Setup is quick and easy: just install the add-on, connect your Google account via OAuth 2.0, and select the two-way sync mode. For proper two-way synchronization, the site must have HTTPS and a valid SSL certificate, a standard requirement of the Google Calendar API.
