WooCommerce (Opayo) SagePay Form is an official WooCommerce extension that integrates the Opayo payment gateway (formerly Sage Pay, owned by Elavon) using the Form method into your online store. It is designed for businesses that need to accept credit and debit card payments through a recognized and established gateway in the UK market, without processing sensitive data directly on their WordPress site.

How it works is simple and secure: when the customer reaches checkout, they are redirected to the payment page hosted by Opayo with an encrypted payload built from the order. There, they enter their card details in a fully secure environment controlled by the gateway. Once payment is complete, Opayo returns the customer to your store, and the plugin decrypts the response, verifies the order and amount, and automatically completes the order when the transaction is successful.

This hosted payment approach significantly reduces your PCI compliance scope, as your site never stores or processes card numbers. Additionally, the plugin supports both the classic WooCommerce checkout and the block-based checkout (WooCommerce Blocks), adapting to modern stores.
