User Locator for WP Job Manager

User Locator for WP Job Manager is a premium extension developed by TinyGiantStudios that allows job board sites based on WP Job Manager to automatically detect visitors' geographic location and fill in the location search field with that information. This way, candidates can instantly find job listings available in their nearest area without having to manually type their city or postal code.

The extension uses the Google Geolocation API, which requires the user's explicit permission before sharing any location data with the website. Once the visitor accepts, the plugin determines their current position and enters it into the WP Job Manager location search field, automatically triggering the filtering of nearby job listings. Location data is stored in a cookie in the user's browser to avoid unnecessary server requests on each page load, thus improving overall site performance.

From the admin panel, site managers can configure the text of the popup that appears when hovering over the location icon, as well as select the geolocation format to be used. Options include country, locality, neighborhood, city, full address, administrative area level 1, 2, or 3, among others.
