Tasty Pins

Tasty Pins is a WordPress plugin developed by WP Tasty, the same team behind Tasty Recipes and Tasty Links, specifically designed to optimize your website images for Pinterest without sacrificing accessibility or SEO. It is the go-to tool for food bloggers, crafts, weddings, and any niche that relies on Pinterest traffic to grow.

The plugin solves the classic conflict between the image proportions required by Pinterest (vertical 2:3 format) and those needed by your blog (horizontal 1.91:1 format). With Tasty Pins, you can upload a separate Pinterest image for each post, hide it from the visible page, and have Pinterest automatically use it when someone saves your content. Additionally, you can add multiple hidden images per post and force Pinterest to use a specific image with a single click.

One of its most valuable features is the separation between Pinterest descriptions and the alt text of images. You can write optimized descriptions with keywords and hashtags of up to 500 characters so your pins appear in Pinterest search results, while keeping the alt text clean and descriptive for screen readers and search engines. It also includes a character counter so your descriptions display fully in the Pinterest feed.

Tasty Pins gives you total control over which images can be saved. You can disable pinning on specific images, per post, or globally, offering your readers fewer but higher-quality options. It includes customizable hover buttons in style, position, and text, a Pinterest Follow Box, a call-to-action banner on the first image of each post, and support for hidden pins on category pages.

The plugin adds Open Graph metadata for rich pins, integrates with the WordPress block editor, and is compatible with popular page builders like Elementor, Divi, and Thrive Architect. Its code is lightweight and fast, so image optimization does not affect your site's loading speed. If your content strategy depends on Pinterest, Tasty Pins is the definitive solution to maximize your reach and grow your audience.
