Tags Add-on for UserPro

The Tags Add-on for UserPro is an official extension of the popular UserPro community plugin that adds a complete profile tagging system. It is designed for WordPress site administrators who manage member directories, social networks, professional communities, or educational platforms where organizing users by interests, skills, or categories is essential to improve the browsing experience and foster connections between members.

With this add-on, administrators can add a tag field in any section of the registration form or the edit profile, directly from the WordPress dashboard. Users can select the tags created by the administrator when registering or editing their profile, allowing people with similar interests to be grouped under the same classification. For example, all marketing professionals can be grouped under the "Marketing" tag.

The add-on offers total control over the display of tags: they can be shown in the main profile area or in the profile header, and hovering over a tag can display an optional description that provides additional context. Additionally, administrators can limit the maximum number of tags each user can add to their profile, keeping the directory organized and coherent.

One of the most notable features is the integration with the member directory: by clicking on a tag from any user's profile, visitors can instantly see all members who share that same classification. Version 1.2 also includes a tag filter in the member directory using the tags_filter parameter in the shortcode, giving administrators even more granular control over how tagged members are displayed and discovered.
