Recent Visitors For BuddyPress Profile

Recent Visitors For BuddyPress Profile is a premium plugin developed by BuddyDev that allows members of a BuddyPress community to see who has recently visited their profile, as well as identify the most popular users on the site. It is designed for administrators of BuddyPress-based social networks who want to increase interaction between members and make the community more dynamic and connected.

The plugin automatically records every visit to user profiles and displays the most recent visitors directly on the profile page. Members can see a list of who has visited their profile, with avatars and links to the corresponding profiles, making it easy to start conversations and build new connections within the community. Additionally, the plugin allows you to display the most popular users on the site based on the number of visits received during a configurable period, such as the last 7 or 30 days.

Its standout features include a widget to display the most visited users, as well as two shortcodes: [bp-visitors-most-visited-users] to list the most popular profiles and [bp-visitors-recent-visitors] to show the recent visitors of a specific user. Both shortcodes offer flexible options to customize the view (list or carousel), the maximum number of users to display, and the time period considered.

The plugin also incorporates flexible privacy controls. Each user can decide whether they want their visits to be recorded or not, ensuring a fair balance between those who want to see their visitors and those who prefer to browse anonymously. Administrators can exclude certain user roles from visit tracking or enable the feature only for specific membership levels, which is especially useful on sites with paid subscriptions.

Recent visitors can also be displayed as an additional tab in the members directory and as a component in the profile where the user can check who visited them in the last 7 days, 30 days, or the entire history. All features can be easily enabled or disabled from the settings, and visit tracking can be controlled via code to suit specific needs.

In summary, this plugin is the ideal solution for BuddyPress communities looking to increase engagement, foster connections between members, and highlight the most active and popular users on the site.
