Ninja Forms Save Progress is an official add-on of the Ninja Forms ecosystem that allows users to save their form progress and resume it later exactly where they left off, without losing any data. It is designed to solve the problem of long or complex forms that often get abandoned halfway, a very common situation on websites of academies, agencies, job portals, and corporate projects where visitors must complete extensive processes that require time and concentration.

The add-on introduces a save button that is added to the form from the Ninja Forms builder, just like any other field. When a registered user clicks that button, the system generates a saved state of the form. When they return later, the visitor will see the option to load their previous progress and continue from the exact point where they left off. Additionally, it is possible to enable multiple saved states with timestamps, so the user can choose between different versions of their progress if they made changes to previously saved data.

For users who are not registered, Save Progress offers an equally effective alternative: local storage in the browser. This option automatically saves the form progress as the visitor moves through the fields, without the need for a user account. It is an ideal solution for those who prefer not to force their visitors to register before completing a form.

From the admin panel, the add-on allows you to manage all saved states from the Submissions section of Ninja Forms. The administrator can view the progress of each save, review the details of each state, and even convert a saved form into a complete submission when the user finishes it. It is also possible to configure specific actions that trigger when saving the form, such as custom success messages, and combine them with conditional logic to create more sophisticated workflows.
