Give - PayFast Gateway

Give - PayFast Gateway is an official GiveWP add-on that integrates the popular South African payment processor PayFast with your WordPress donation site. PayFast is one of the most widely used payment gateways in South Africa, and this add-on allows your donors to make contributions securely and conveniently, being redirected to PayFast's hosted payment platform and then returning to your site to view a donation receipt.

This add-on is designed for non-profit organizations, foundations, community projects, and any digital cause that needs to raise funds in South African rands (ZAR). Once activated, PayFast appears as an additional option within GiveWP's payment gateway settings, alongside default options like PayPal Standard, test payments, and offline donations.

Setup is simple: you only need an active PayFast account, the add-on installed, and the main GiveWP plugin activated. From the GiveWP settings panel, you can enable PayFast as an active gateway and enter your merchant credentials, including the Merchant ID, Merchant Key, and Passphrase. The add-on also includes support for PayFast's sandbox environment, allowing you to test the integration safely before processing live donations.

Since version 2.0, the PayFast add-on for GiveWP supports recurring donations, allowing your donors to set up periodic contributions automatically. This is especially valuable for organizations that rely on sustained income over time and want to offer their supporters the ability to support their cause on an ongoing basis.

PayFast offers multiple payment methods for donors, including credit cards (Visa and Mastercard), instant bank transfer (EFT), Bitcoin, and other popular local options. All payments are processed through PayFast's hosted and PCI-compliant payment form, ensuring the security of your donors' financial data.

With Give - PayFast Gateway, South African organizations and those operating in the region can offer their donors a local, familiar, and reliable payment experience, eliminating currency conversion barriers and additional fees associated with international processors. If your cause needs to raise funds in South Africa, this is the most direct and efficient integration solution for your WordPress donation platform.
