Store administrators can configure four types of sending delay: disabled, simple delay based on time intervals (days, weeks, or months), sending on a fixed date determined by the administrator, or sending on a date chosen by the customer directly from the product page. This last option is especially valuable for birthdays, anniversaries, or special dates, as it allows the buyer to indicate exactly when they want the recipient to receive their gift card.

The add-on also offers a powerful email customization system. Administrators can edit both the subject and the body of the message using a wide variety of dynamic shortcodes that include the recipient's name, the personalized message, the coupon code, its value, the expiration date, the buyer's name, the coupon URL, and site data, among others. Additionally, it is possible to add additional recipients so that several people receive the same notification with the attached coupon.

Configuration is managed centrally from the PDF Coupons plugin settings, in the email templates tab, and also individually per product. This allows you to apply general settings to the entire store or customize the behavior of each product independently. The sending of the coupon is conditioned on the order status configured in the main settings, which ensures that coupons are only sent when the order reaches the correct status.
