FacetWP Recipes Integration Addon

FacetWP Recipes Integration Addon is an official FacetWP extension designed to connect the powerful facet filtering system with structured recipe data in WordPress. It is intended for food blogs, healthy eating sites, culinary academies, and recipe portals with large volumes of content that need to offer their visitors a fast and intuitive way to find exactly what they are looking for.

This addon integrates FacetWP with two of the most popular recipe plugins in the WordPress ecosystem: WP Recipe Maker and Tasty Recipes. Once installed, when editing a facet, a new section appears in the data source dropdown with a wide variety of fields available for filtering: author name, average rating, servings, estimated cost, preparation time, cooking time, total time, courses, cuisines, diets, keywords, ingredients, ingredient units, equipment, calories, as well as any custom field, taxonomy, or nutritional tag added by WP Recipe Maker.

Configuration is simple and flexible. When WP Recipe Maker is installed, an additional option is enabled in Settings > FacetWP > Settings called "Index recipe data for", which allows you to choose between two indexing modes. The "Blog posts" mode (default value) makes FacetWP scan post content for attached recipes and associate recipe data with the posts themselves, which works very well for recipe index pages that display post lists. The "Recipes" mode directly indexes wprm_recipe items, ideal for custom queries or grid builders where recipe items are listed instead of posts.

The result is an advanced real-time search experience, without page reloads, that allows users to filter by ingredients, preparation time, difficulty, type of cuisine, dietary restrictions, and much more.
