EDD Cross-sell and Upsell is an official Easy Digital Downloads extension designed for digital stores that want to increase the average order value by showing product recommendations at key moments in the purchase process. It is intended for those who sell digital downloads such as courses, plugins, themes, ebooks, or templates, and want to maximize revenue from each visit without relying solely on incoming traffic or external campaigns.

The extension works with clear and effective logic: upsells are shown on the individual product page, just below the description, while cross-sells appear on the checkout page, below the cart. This way, the customer receives relevant suggestions at the exact moment they are making purchase decisions, without interrupting their natural flow.

Setting up recommendations is very simple. From the WordPress admin panel, each product has a dedicated section where you can manually select which items you want to offer as upsells or cross-sells. You can also customize the titles of each recommendation block, both globally and per individual product, adapting the message to your store's tone.
