BuddyPress Editable Activity

BuddyPress Editable Activity is a premium WordPress plugin that allows users of a BuddyPress-based social network to edit their activity posts and comments directly from the front-end, without needing to access the admin panel. Developed by BuddyDev, this add-on solves one of the most common limitations of BuddyPress: the inability to correct or update content once published.

Editing is done in place, meaning users can modify their activity or comment right where it appears, thanks to the integration of the jQuery x-editable component, which offers a smooth and modern editing experience. Users can edit their own posts and comments, while site administrators have the ability to edit all activity and comments from the front-end, greatly facilitating content moderation and control.

The plugin includes a settings panel accessible from Settings > BP Editable Activity, where administrators can control key aspects such as the maximum time allowed to edit a post or comment. If set to zero, there is no time limit for editing. It also allows deciding whether to enable editing for activities, comments, or both, and controlling who can edit content.

• In-place editing of activities and comments from the front-end
• Users can edit their own posts and comments
• Administrators can edit all activity and comments from the front-end
• Control the time limit for editing content
• Flexible configuration options from the admin panel
• Compatible with all BuddyPress themes and BuddyPress templates
• Visual editing of content
• Responsive design that works on all devices

This plugin is aimed at administrators of online communities, membership sites, forums, and any social network built with BuddyPress who want to offer their users the freedom to correct and improve their posts. It is an essential tool for maintaining content quality and improving user experience in any digital community.
